Wynyard Park has been an important strategic inward investment site since Samsung first came into the country. More recent possibilities of a new hospital being located on the site gave rise to the need to reconsider the long term future of the wider site.
The LPA recognised the need for executive housing in the borough and submissions were made to the developing LDF leading to an application for 200 homes. The scheme was approved after careful negotiation of a package of S106 benefits including off site affordable housing and strategic highway improvements.
